Precision Stone Works Ltd. was started in 2006 by Greg Barnert and Gabor Haranghy.

After working 25 and 15 years respectively at one of the largest stone fabricating shops in Vancouver, Greg and Gab decided to strike out on our own with a new business model. Traditionally, fabricators have a large inventory of materials that they would sell to their customers. However, customers’ choices were limited to what were in stock.

In the early 2000s, our distributors started setting up material wholesale centers around the Lower Mainland, allowing customers to view and pick from an incredible variety of materials. Customers were also able to pick from several different locations. This distribution system allowed us to free up capital and invest the money in technology that would otherwise have gone into stock.

On the technological front, we have acquired new saws, CNC cutters, polishing machines, and digital measuring systems, resulting in a more efficient process and far better quality products to be produced.

We have therefore built the most technologically advanced, fully digital fabricating shop in BC.
